LONGi Solar Panels. Record-breaking efficiency.
Australian installer of LONGi's Hi-MO X10 back-contact modules — from the world's largest solar manufacturer. HPBC 2.0 technology with a 25-year product warranty.
The world's largest
solar manufacturer.
LONGi is the largest manufacturer of monocrystalline solar wafers and modules, holds independently certified efficiency records including a 27.81% silicon cell, and backs the Hi-MO X series with a 25-year product and 30-year performance warranty. Its panels work with all leading inverter brands.
World's Largest Maker
LONGi is the world's largest manufacturer of monocrystalline solar wafers and modules. Decades of vertical integration, enormous scale and a track record that anchors projects on every continent.
Multiple World Records
LONGi holds numerous independently certified efficiency world records — including a 27.81% monocrystalline silicon cell and a 25.4% back-contact module. The technology in your roof comes from the company setting the benchmarks.
HPBC 2.0 Back Contact
The Hi-MO X10 uses Hybrid Passivated Back Contact (HPBC 2.0) cells. Moving the contacts to the rear removes front-side busbar shading, lifting module efficiency above 24% with excellent shade tolerance.
Australian Conditions
A low temperature coefficient means LONGi panels hold output better in heat, where conventional panels shed power. Strong real-world yield through Australian summers and high-UV climates.
25-Year Warranty
25-year product warranty and 30-year performance warranty, backed by BloombergNEF Tier 1 bankability. Around 88.85% of rated output is warranted after 30 years on the Hi-MO X series.
Universal Compatibility
Compatible with all leading inverter brands including Enphase, SolarEdge, Fronius, Sungrow and GoodWe. No lock-in — design the system that suits your needs.
LONGi Hi-MO X10
modules.
The Hi-MO X10 range splits three ways: Explorer at roughly 475-490W in a compact residential format, Scientist at 640-665W for commercial rooftops and ground mounts, and Guardian, built for durability and shade performance in harsh Australian conditions.
Hi-MO X10 Explorer
Around 475–490W in a compact residential format with HPBC 2.0 cells. The go-to choice for Australian homes — high power density that maximises generation from limited roof space.
Hi-MO X10 Scientist
Large-format module in the 640–665W range, built for commercial rooftops and ground-mount arrays. More watts per panel and per square metre to drive down cost across big systems.
Hi-MO X10 Guardian
Durability-focused Hi-MO X10 designed for tough Australian conditions, with enhanced shade performance and long-term reliability for homes and commercial sites in harsh environments.
Back contact vs TOPCon:
what you are really paying for.
Almost every panel you will be quoted in Australia is TOPCon. LONGi is one of the few backing a different structure — and that is the whole reason it sits where it does on price.
On a conventional panel, the metal contacts that collect the current run across the front of the cell. They work, but they also sit between the sun and the silicon, so a small amount of the cell area is permanently shaded by its own wiring.
Back contact moves that metalwork to the rear. LONGi’s HPBC design — the technology in the Hi-MO X10 range — puts the contacts behind the cell, which frees up front-side area and gives the panel its uniform, gridless black appearance. That is the structural difference. Everything else follows from it: more usable cell area per square metre, and a more involved manufacturing process than the TOPCon cells that dominate the market.
So the honest framing is not “back contact is better”. It is that back contact buys you output per square metre, and a cleaner look, at a price premium. Whether that is worth paying depends almost entirely on one thing: how much roof you have.
A roof that runs out
If you cannot fit the system size you actually need, efficiency per square metre is the thing you are buying, and it is worth paying for. Small or broken-up roofs, heritage constraints, or a system you want to expand later.
A roof with room to spare
If you have space for the kilowatts you need in a mainstream TOPCon panel, the premium buys you a smaller array rather than more energy. Fitting two more standard panels is usually the cheaper way to the same output.
When the look matters
Front-side busbars are visible. A back-contact panel is uniformly black with no visible gridlines, which is a genuine reason to choose one on a prominent roof — just be clear with yourself that you are buying appearance.
Best for record-setting
efficiency.
LONGi is the ideal choice for homeowners and businesses who want the highest-efficiency mainstream panel from the world's largest, most bankable manufacturer. An excellent option where roof space is tight and you want maximum kW from every square metre.
Homeowners
Squeeze the most generation from a small roof with the Hi-MO X10 Explorer. HPBC 2.0 efficiency and a sleek all-black look, backed by a manufacturer that will still be here in 25 years.
Businesses
Hi-MO X10 Scientist large-format panels cut the panel count, speed up installation and lift output per square metre — lower cost per watt and faster ROI for your business.
Tough Conditions
The Hi-MO X10 Guardian is built for shading, dust and heat. Strong real-world yield and long-term durability for homes and sites in demanding Australian environments.

The honest checks we'd run before any solar purchase — including who it's genuinely not worth it for.
We don’t only sell LONGi. So this isn’t a sales pitch.
We install LONGi alongside around 16 other solar and battery brands — so when we recommend it, it’s about your home and usage, not our stockroom.
We carry around 16 brands, not just LONGi
Mission Green fits LONGi alongside roughly 16 other solar and battery brands, so there’s no over-ordered stock to clear and no single-brand margin to chase. When we recommend LONGi, it’s because it suits your home and usage. If a cheaper or better-suited brand is the honest answer for you, we’ll say so before you pay a deposit.
Bring us your other quotes
Shortlisting LONGi against other brands? Good — you should. Bring your other quotes and we’ll walk them line by line: what’s genuinely different, where a rival wins, and whether any premium is justified for your home. Sometimes the honest answer is a different brand — and we’ve written the guides that say so.
One installer, whichever brand you pick
Mission Green designs, installs and commissions your system and coordinates the manufacturer warranty claim on your behalf, so you’re never bounced between the maker and a subcontractor. We’d stand behind any brand we carry just as fully — so choosing never means gambling on who turns up in year four.
MG coordinates the manufacturer warranty and handles claims on your behalf; it does not replace or extend it. Your Australian Consumer Law rights apply in addition.Accreditation, not just tone
Mission Green is a NETCC-approved and Solar Victoria authorised retailer working with SAA-accredited installers — the consumer-protection codes we’ve signed up to apply to your install whichever brand you land on.
