Queensland.
Queensland's Battery Booster program has closed, so the battery incentive now comes from the federal Cheaper Home Batteries Program — around 30% off an eligible home battery. Solar still attracts STCs, a point-of-sale discount of $2,000–$4,000+. Current as at June 2026.

Solar built for Queensland homes
What the local network, the incentive landscape and the Queensland climate mean for your system.
Where you live in Queensland shapes your connection. Homes across the south east connect through the Energex network, while regional Queensland is served by Ergon Energy. That split matters for exports. In regional Queensland the minimum feed-in tariff is set each year by the Queensland Competition Authority, whereas in South East Queensland feed-in rates are market based and offered by your retailer, so it pays to compare plans rather than assume a single fixed number. Queensland also has among the highest rooftop solar uptake in the country, which means a lot of solar floods the grid in the middle of the day and export rates have been trending down in recent years. We design systems around using more of your own power on site.
On incentives, there is no broad Queensland state solar rebate running in 2026. The former state Battery Booster program has closed to new applications. The main support now is federal. Small-scale Technology Certificates discount the upfront cost of eligible solar under the Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme, and the Cheaper Home Batteries Program supports eligible battery storage. These certificate values change over time and are set to reduce in stages, so we confirm exactly what applies to your install at quote. On climate, long hot summers and heavy air conditioning loads push cooling demand into the afternoon and evening, which is why we often size a slightly larger array and talk through whether a battery suits how your household actually uses power.

Straight advice for QLD homes.
Plenty of installers chase the sale. Here’s how we earn the recommendation across Queensland instead.
We’ll tell you to wait, or buy smaller
If your roof needs work first, if you’re moving soon, or if a smaller system suits you better, we’ll say it plainly — even when it means a smaller sale or none at all. We size to what you actually use, not to the biggest system that fits.
An honest check of what you actually qualify for
Rebates and eligibility change and depend on your address, income and system. Before you get excited about a headline number, we check which QLD and federal schemes you genuinely qualify for — and tell you plainly if you don’t.
You may be eligible for federal and state incentives; eligibility and amounts vary and change — we confirm the current rules for your address. We publish who we said no to
Being an honest broker only counts if it costs us something. We keep a public record of the work and customers we’ve turned away — read who we said no to — because ‘we’ll be straight with you’ should be checkable, not just a slogan.
A local installer of record, not a fly-in
An estimated ~600,000 Australian solar systems are now ‘orphaned’ — roughly 1 in 6–7 — because the company that sold them has since folded. We stay your installer of record across Queensland, so a fault in year three is our problem to fix, not yours to chase.
