GoodWe ESA & Lynx Home Queensland.
You searched for GoodWe in Queensland. Here's the honest version: what the new all-in-one ESA Series and the modular Lynx Home F G2 actually are, what Queensland's rebates genuinely cover, and who should buy a different battery entirely.
The short answer: GoodWe's latest residential storage comes two ways — the all-in-one ESA Series (3–10 kW hybrid inverter and stackable LFP modules in one IP66 cabinet, 5–48 kWh usable, 63A whole-home backup built in) and the modular Lynx Home F G2 (3.2 kWh modules, 6.4–28.8 kWh per tower, paired with a GoodWe ET/EH/BT/BH hybrid inverter). The federal Cheaper Home Batteries Program takes roughly 30% off at the point of sale, and Mission Green confirms a fixed, itemised price after a free on-site assessment.
The honest battery case
in Queensland.
Queensland has the country's best everyday solar resource — 5.2 peak sun hours — which means big daytime surpluses to charge a battery year-round. There is no state battery rebate (Battery Booster closed in May 2024), so the federal discount does the heavy lifting, and with SEQ feed-in rates set by retailers and the regional Ergon rate at 6.006c, storing beats exporting.

What a well-sized array has to work with to charge a battery in Queensland.
Average tariff per kWh
Queensland household tariffs sit around 27c/kWh, with SEQ feed-in rates retailer-set.
Typical solar payback
Battery payback is separate and site-specific — your usage pattern, tariff and system size move it in both directions. We model yours before quoting.

GoodWe ESA & Lynx Home — and the
honest fit test.
ESA usable per stack
ESA whole-home backup, built in
Lynx Home F G2 per tower
Warranty · ≥70% retention
The ESA is GoodWe's simplest install — hybrid inverter, stackable LFP modules and 63A backup in one IP66 cabinet, no separate gateway. Lynx Home F G2 is the flexible path: high-voltage 3.2 kWh modules that pair with a GoodWe hybrid inverter (up to eight towers for bigger sites). Both are LFP chemistry from a BloombergNEF Tier 1 inverter maker. The honest split:
| GoodWe is usually the right call if… | Look elsewhere (or wait) if… |
|---|---|
| You want one cabinet, one install — the ESA's inverter, storage and 63A backup are built in. | You already run a compatible GoodWe hybrid inverter — a Lynx tower slots straight on without replacing it. |
| You want whole-home backup without extra boxes — no separate gateway to mount or wire. | You need three-phase or unusual sizing — the honest answer may be a different brand; we install 15 others. |
| You're sizing 5–48 kWh — ESA stacks mix 5 and 8 kWh modules to land on the right size. | Lowest cost per kWh is everything — compare a modular stack quote before you sign anything. |
How the two ranges differ in detail: Lynx vs ESA, honestly compared. Backup coverage depends on how your switchboard is configured — what stays on in a blackout.
What's actually available

The honest map for Queensland, as at 30 August 2026. Every claim below mirrors our maintained rebate dataset, which links each program's primary government source.
Federal Cheaper Home Batteries — LIVE
Takes around 30% off eligible 5–100 kWh batteries via STCs, applied at the point of sale. Tiered since 1 May 2026: full rate up to 14 kWh usable, 60% from 14 to 28 kWh, 15% from 28 to 50 kWh — so the size you stack decides the tier mix, and the last kilowatt-hours of a big stack earn the lowest rate. Next step-down: 1 January 2027. See energy.gov.au. We calculate your exact rebate at quote, never a best-case headline.
No QLD state battery rebate — Battery Booster is CLOSED
Queensland’s Battery Booster closed in May 2024. If an ad or door-knocker offers you "the Queensland battery rebate" today, it is out of date at best. The federal program above is the active battery support in QLD.
Supercharged Solar for Renters — solar, for landlords
Up to $3,500 for a landlord to put solar on a tenanted house, duplex, townhouse or granny flat (rented at $1,000/week or less; conditional approval required BEFORE installation). It is a solar rebate, not a battery one — but a tenanted property with solar is the natural first step before storage.

GoodWe Queensland
FAQ.
There is no single GoodWe price for Queensland, and any site that quotes one without seeing your home is guessing. The installed cost depends on which range fits (the all-in-one ESA or a Lynx tower on a GoodWe hybrid inverter), how many kilowatt-hours you stack, your switchboard, and your site. The federal Cheaper Home Batteries Program takes around 30% off eligible batteries at the point of sale — tiered by size since 1 May 2026, stepping down again on 1 January 2027. Mission Green confirms a fixed, itemised price after a free on-site assessment, with the rebate calculated for your actual stack.

As for the hardware: the ESA Series gives you inverter, storage and 63A whole-home backup in one IP66 cabinet, and the Lynx Home F G2 grows in 3.2 kWh steps if you already run a GoodWe hybrid inverter. If your evening usage is low, the numbers may not stack up yet — we model it against your actual bills and say so.
The ESA Series is a hybrid all-in-one, so it replaces or works alongside your existing setup depending on what's on the roof and wall — exactly what a site assessment settles. A Lynx Home F G2 tower requires a compatible GoodWe hybrid inverter (ET, EH, BT or BH); if you already run one, it's the neatest retrofit there is. In a blackout the ESA's built-in 63A backup keeps essential or whole-home circuits running, with no separate gateway; what stays on depends on the loads running and the circuits your electrician nominates. Connections in Queensland go through Energex in the south-east or Ergon in regional Queensland, and Mission Green handles the network approval and metering paperwork.
