There is no single GoodWe price for Western Australia, and any site that quotes one without seeing your home is guessing. The installed cost depends on which range fits (the all-in-one ESA or a Lynx tower on a GoodWe hybrid inverter), how many kilowatt-hours you stack, your switchboard, and your site. The federal Cheaper Home Batteries Program takes around 30% off eligible batteries at the point of sale — tiered by size since 1 May 2026, stepping down again on 1 January 2027. Mission Green confirms a fixed, itemised price after a free on-site assessment, with the rebate calculated for your actual stack.

As at 30 August 2026 — Federal Cheaper Home Batteries: Takes around 30% off eligible 5–100 kWh batteries via STCs, applied at the point of sale. Tiered since 1 May 2026: full rate up to 14 kWh usable, 60% from 14 to 28 kWh, 15% from 28 to 50 kWh — so the size you stack decides the tier mix, and the last kilowatt-hours of a big stack earn the lowest rate. WA Residential Battery Scheme — stacks on top: Paid per kWh of usable capacity — $130/kWh for Synergy customers and $380/kWh for Horizon Power — on batteries of at least 5 kWh, capped at 10 kWh (a larger battery still gets the full $1,300 or $3,800). Requires joining a VPP under a two-year agreement. Combined with the federal discount: roughly $3,900–$4,000 on a typical 10 kWh battery for Synergy customers, about $6,300 for Horizon Power, as at July 2026. Interest-free loans of $2,001–$10,000 also available (household income under $210,000). Eligibility rules change — we check what your address qualifies for before we quote.

WA is the only state where two battery rebates stack: the WA Residential Battery Scheme pays $130/kWh (Synergy) or $380/kWh (Horizon Power) on top of the federal ~30% discount — roughly $3,900–$4,000 combined on a typical 10 kWh battery for Synergy customers, about $6,300 for Horizon, as at July 2026. The catch: the state rebate requires joining a VPP under a two-year agreement. As for the hardware: the ESA Series gives you inverter, storage and 63A whole-home backup in one IP66 cabinet, and the Lynx Home F G2 grows in 3.2 kWh steps if you already run a GoodWe hybrid inverter. If your evening usage is low, the numbers may not stack up yet — we model it against your actual bills and say so.

The ESA Series is a hybrid all-in-one, so it replaces or works alongside your existing setup depending on what's on the roof and wall — exactly what a site assessment settles. A Lynx Home F G2 tower requires a compatible GoodWe hybrid inverter (ET, EH, BT or BH); if you already run one, it's the neatest retrofit there is. In a blackout the ESA's built-in 63A backup keeps essential or whole-home circuits running, with no separate gateway; what stays on depends on the loads running and the circuits your electrician nominates. Connections in Western Australia go through Western Power (SWIS) or Horizon Power in regional WA, and Mission Green handles the network approval and metering paperwork.
