Jouli Terms of Use.

1Accepting these terms

Jouli is a free service operated by Mission Green Pty Ltd (“Mission Green”, “we”, “us”). By using Jouli — the chat, any tools, or an account — you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please don't use Jouli. If you're using Jouli on behalf of a household or business, you confirm you're allowed to do so.

2What Jouli is

Jouli is a free AI energy assistant for Australian homes. It offers honest, general guidance — things like understanding rebates, checking whether you're overpaying on your bills, rough solar and battery payback, sanity-checking a quote, and basic solar-health pointers.

Jouli is an AI, and AI can make mistakes. It may be incomplete, out of date, or simply wrong. Treat everything it says as a helpful prompt to look further, not as a final answer. Always confirm figures before you buy.

3What Jouli is not

• It is not personal financial or energy advice. Jouli doesn't know your full circumstances and isn't a licensed financial or energy adviser.
• It is not an electricity retailer. Jouli doesn't sell you energy or manage your account with your retailer.
• It is not a substitute for a professional site assessment. A real quote needs a qualified person to look at your roof, switchboard, meter and usage.

4Estimates and benchmarks are indicative only

Any numbers Jouli gives you — savings, payback periods, bill comparisons, system sizes, benchmarks against “typical” homes — are estimates based on general assumptions and the limited information available. They are indicative only. We make no warranty that they are accurate, complete, or right for your situation, and your real results may differ. Use them to get oriented, then verify against your actual bills, meter data, and a written quote.

5Honest broker — and how we earn

Jouli is built to be an honest broker. It will tell you when the smart move is to wait, do nothing, or go with someone else — and it will point you to the free government energy plan comparison rather than steer you toward a sale.

Mission Green is an Australian, accredited solar, battery and electrification installer. Jouli is free because we only earn money if you choose to install with us. That's the whole model. It also means we have a commercial interest in installation work, so you should weigh Jouli's guidance accordingly and always get your own independent quotes and advice before committing.

6Acceptable use

Please use Jouli for its intended purpose — getting honest energy guidance. You agree not to:

• use Jouli for anything unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent;
• abuse, harass, or attempt to mislead or “jailbreak” the service;
• scrape, harvest, copy, or bulk-extract content, or use bots and automated tools against it;
• attempt to reverse-engineer, overload, probe, or break the security of the service or the systems behind it;
• upload anyone else's personal information without the right to do so, or upload malicious files;
• resell, white-label, or commercially exploit Jouli without our written permission.

We may limit, suspend, or stop the service for anyone who breaks these rules or puts the service at risk.

7Intellectual property

Jouli, the Jouli name and look, the Mission Green brand, and the content, design and software behind the service are owned by Mission Green or our licensors. You may use Jouli for your own personal, non-commercial energy decisions. You don't get any other rights, and nothing here transfers ownership to you. Anything you type or upload stays yours — but you give us permission to process it so we can answer you and run the service (see our Privacy Policy).

8Third-party links

Jouli may point you to other websites — for example, the free government energy plan comparison, retailer pages, or rebate information. We don't control or operate those sites and we don't endorse them just by linking to them. We're not responsible for their content, accuracy, or terms. Once you leave Jouli, the other site's own terms and privacy policy apply.

9Rebates and incentives change

Government rebates, schemes, incentives and eligibility rules change often and vary by state and territory — and some close without much notice. Any rebate figure or eligibility hint from Jouli is general information at a point in time, is not guaranteed, and may already be out of date. Always confirm current rebates and your eligibility with the official scheme or a qualified provider before relying on them.

10Limitation of liability

Jouli is provided “as is” and “as available”, and to the extent permitted by law we make no warranties about it. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mission Green is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of Jouli or your reliance on anything it tells you — including decisions to buy, not buy, switch, or wait. You're responsible for your own decisions, and for verifying important figures before acting on them.

11Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to cover us for claims, losses and costs arising from your misuse of Jouli or your breach of these terms — for example, using it unlawfully or uploading content you didn't have the right to upload.

12Your consumer rights still apply

13Accounts

You can use Jouli without an account. If you create one (for example, to save preferences or receive the optional email “Jouli Watch” digest), keep your sign-in details secure and let us know if you think your account has been used without permission. You can unsubscribe from emails at any time, and you can ask us to close your account.

14Suspension and termination

You can stop using Jouli at any time. We may change, suspend, or discontinue Jouli — in whole or in part — at any time, and we may restrict or end your access if you breach these terms or misuse the service. Sections that by their nature should survive (such as intellectual property, limitation of liability, and indemnity) continue to apply after you stop using Jouli.

15Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time as Jouli evolves or the law changes. When we do, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use Jouli after a change means you accept the updated terms.

16Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and you and we submit to the courts of Victoria (and the courts that can hear appeals from them).
